Please note that Ward Cemetery is an independent community cemetery and is NOT associated with the Ward Church of God or the former Ward Reunion. Ward Cemetery is not a perpetual care cemetery, it is not operated for profit, and there are no deeded plots. Ward Cemetery is cared for by volunteers who depend on donations, fundraising, and burial fees to purchase equipment and hire mowing crews and other independent contractors. The mowing area of the cemetery inside and outside of the fence is approximately twelve acres. Grass cutting for such a large area is expensive and is dependent upon the availability of funds and workers.
